93-95 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound: "Here the restrained yet markedly spicy and beautifully layered nose is composed of liqueur-like red and black cherry; earth and lavender aromas. This is sleeker and more refined than the Grands Ech though the medium plus weight flavors possess no better mid-palate concentration or power. There is plenty of the hallmark minerality and I very much like the texture on the balanced; persistent and harmonious finale. A wine of class and grace that should also age for years." 1/15. . 94+ Points; John Gilman; View From the Cellar: "The Drouhin’s Clos de Bèze is always a bit more reserved out of the blocks than their Griotte; though in my experience; it is one of the best bottlings of the grand cru produced in all of Burgundy; if one is sufficiently patient to leave it sleeping in the cellar until it starts to blossom. The 2013 is another characteristically structured and classic example in the making; offering up a youthful bouquet of cassis; black cherries; grilled meats; coffee; a superb base of soil; mustard seed and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is pure; full-bodied and very much defined by its terroir; with a superb core of fruit; fine-grained tannins; bright acids and outstanding length and grip on the still very youthful finish. All this great wine needs is bottle age to blossom."11/14. . 92-94 Points; Stephen Tanzer; Vinous: "Healthy bright red. Reticent aromas of small wild red berries and truffley underbrush. Rich and fine-grained; with lovely lift to the utterly seamless; deep flavors of berries and earth. Not obviously superior to the Griotte; and not at all a powerhouse; but this tightly wound wine is still youthfully tight and will need years to unfold." 11/14. . 91 Points; Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru comes from their own contract parcel and purchased fruit; cropped October 6-7; with partial whole cluster and raised for 14 months in 500 liter barrels. It appears to have more harmony than the Charmes-Chambertin at the moment; more floral in personality; to the point where it is more Charmes-Chambertin than the Charmes-Chambertin! The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins; supple in the mouth; with good volume. There is plenty of red and black fruit here. although it is missing a little complexity toward the finish." 12/14

90 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound: "A discreet application of wood easily allows the elegant and beautifully layered red berry fruit; floral and anise-scented nose to shine. The mouth feel of the equally refined medium-bodied flavors is sleeker than that of the Vosne; indeed this is silky and with more minerality as well on the saline and impressively persistent finish that is very Chambolle in character. This is a most impressive villages and highly recommended." 4/17. . Stephan Tanzer; Vinous: "(13.8% alcohol; the highest of the range in 2015; according to Frédéric Drouhin; from grapes harvested on September 10 and 11 and totally destemmed): Bright; full red. A touch of flinty reduction to the aromas and flavors of raspberry and strawberry. Ripe and sweet; showing noteworthy energy and flavor intensity but coming across as quite firm; even a bit ungiving; today owing in part to its reductive quality. This densely packed premier cru boasts a firm spine of acids and dusty tannins and will need at least a few years of bottle aging." 1/17. . 90-92 Points; Neal Martin; Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Some of the barrels of 2015 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru were quite reduced; but eventually I found one that seemed more expressive with mulberry and loganberry scents; more incense with time in the glass. I like the conviction that this Chambolle demonstrates. The palate is structured with crunchy tannin; Morey-like in style with a precise and quite persistent finish that bodes well for the future. One to watch out for once in bottle; because it possesses the backbone that should see it age nicely." 12/16 #228. . 90+ Points; John Gilman; View From the Cellar: " The 2015 Chambolle villages from Maison Drouhin is excellent this year; with its feet firmly planted in the 1990-like stylistic camp. The bouquet offers up a fine blend of baked red and black cherries; chocolate; gamebird; a fine base of soil; a touch of hazelnut and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep; full-bodied and quite pure on the attack; with a sappy core; fine acids and soil signature and a long; focused and modestly tannic finish. Good juice. (Drink between 2020-2050)" 11/16
