97-99 Points, Wine Advocate: "A barrel sample coming from the Beckstoffer Georges III vineyard, the very deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon GIII gives up a very deep purple-black color and nose of creme de cassis, baked blackberries and preserved plums with touches of dark chocolate, scorched earth and cloves with a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a generous amount of gregarious black fruit and exotic spice layers with a fantastically firm, ripe tannic backbone and great length." 12/17

97-99 Points, www.jebdunnuck.com: "From a site in Rutherford, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is a huge, full-bodied, monster of a Cabernet Sauvignon that has ton of fruit, as well as tons of structure and tannin. Offering lots of blue fruits, graphite, and minerality, I suspect the tannin will integrated nicely by the time this is bottled, but it's going to benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring nonetheless. It certainly has incredible potential." 12/17
