After drinking several signature rosés from the prized Bandol region and beyond, you begin to realize they seem to lack a little something - and that is something is electrifying zip and zest! Enter Sancerre with its chalky soils, and at the top of the food chain there is Domaine Vacheron. Sure, there is 2018's generosity of concentrated fruit and texture here, but there is simply an energy, tension, and lift to this wine that few on the shelf can match. Better yet, there are few rosés that we carry that get the taste buds salivating like this one or have you craving a plate of charcuterie and take on a grilled tuna steak. The aromatics explode from the glass with nuances of honeysuckle, red berries, and a touch of flint. On the palate expect to find these notes linger over and marry with nuances of raspberry, strawberry, pink grapefruit, blood orange, citrus blossoms, sea salt - but most of all it makes its mark with tang and lively acidity and a tongue staining, marathon finish. This bottled energy comes from old vine Pinot Noir and the prized kimmeridgian and silex soils of Sancerre and should not be missed."

Juicy and sharply delineated on the palate, offering pure strawberry, cherry and tangerine flavors that put on weight as the wine stretches out. Concentrated yet lively, finishing with strong, mineral-dominated persistence and a late suggestion of honeysuckle." 8/19
