93 Points, Christopher Deas, Zachys Buying Team: "Sure, there is Terrebrune, Pibarnon, and Bastide, but arguably the single hottest rosé from France for the connoisseur comes from the magic hands of Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey - and not the region of Bandol. Now combine these talents of the white wine master of Chassagne-Montrachet with the legendary vintage in making, that many are comparing to the mythical 1947 harvest, and that is one exciting rosé and introduction to the 2018 vintage in Burgundy. Demand outweighs supply and that is why there is a six-bottle limit on this difficult-to-find rosé. More importantly, this is simply great juice, and if you are not attracted by the delicate Arctic char skin-like color alone, the enticing nose of wild berries will quickly do the job. The star here though is the palate with its explosive attack of ripe, and almost sweet-like red fruit, that is quickly balanced by vibrant acidity, chalky minerality and depth. Expect to find nuances red berries, tart strawberries, tangerine, lemon zest, white peaches, melon, and crushed flowers. This is a rosé marked by its inviting texture, persistence, and tongue staining finish that subtly builds with air and each sip. This is pure enjoyment from one of Burgundy's most revered winemakers and the soon to be benchmark vintage, all for under $33!"
