    Riesling GG Uhlen Laubach Heymann-Lowenstein 2017 (750ML)

Out of Stock — Zachys NY Future Arrival
95 Points, Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Uhlen Laubach is deep and discreet but highly complex on the refined and slatey but less fruity nose compared to the Blaufüsser Lay. The palate is lovely, vital and pure, with a tensioned construction of crushed slate and lip-smacking salt. This is a spectacular Riesling for Riesling nerds, due to its lush and sexy fruit. The Laubach is more intellectual, and the limestone vein in this plot of the Uhlen might be the crucial reason for this early discretion and distinction. It's doubtlessly a beautiful wine that needs its time. Tasted during the preview of the GG wines in Wiesbaden in August 2018." 10/18 95 Points, Stephan Reinhardt, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Uhlen L Terroir Laubach VDP Grosse Lage is deep, intense and smoky as well as piquant and flinty on the nose that delivers crushed limestone notes intermixed with generous fruit aromas that remind me of ginger, nettles and Gewürztraminer. On the palate, this is a lush, silky-textured, beautifully wide, very salty and energetic Riesling with a crystalline, stimulatingly salty finish. This is a great wine that's generous, complex and refined but also concentrated and highly stimulating. Tasted in March 2019." 6/19

    James Suckling Notes
97 Points, James Suckling: "The enveloping nose of summer flowers draws you into this unbelievably ripe yet subtle wine, which glides over the palate into an incredibly complex finish that you could spend hours studying. From organically grown grapes. Fair'n Green certified. This has decades of aging potential. Delicious now, or hold. Screw cap." 12/18
