The palate is lovely, vital and pure, with a tensioned construction of crushed slate and lip-smacking salt. This is a spectacular Riesling for Riesling nerds, due to its lush and sexy fruit. The Laubach is more intellectual, and the limestone vein in this plot of the Uhlen might be the crucial reason for this early discretion and distinction. It's doubtlessly a beautiful wine that needs its time. On the palate, this is a lush, silky-textured, beautifully wide, very salty and energetic Riesling with a crystalline, stimulatingly salty finish.
