James Suckling

92 Points, James Suckling: "This offers a complex impression from the get-go with nougat, cashew-nut and biscuity aromas across yellow grapefruit and lemons. The palate rolls out smooth, lemon flavor with gently creamy and mealy complexity, as well as layered textural build. Complex style. Drink now." 11/18

John Gilman

92 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2016 Chardonnay from the "Hyland Vineyard" is the first vintage of this varietal to be made by Jacques Lardière under the Résonance label. The wine comes in at 13.5 percent octane and delivers a very promising, young bouquet of apple, pear, orange blossom, a touch of fresh nutmeg, hazelnut, a lovely base of soil tones and a deft base of buttery oak. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, focused and rock solid at the core, with excellent focus and grip, impressive nascent complexity and a long, vibrant and racy finish. This is an excellent wine in the making, with a chassis that will carry it effortlessly far into the future. It is approachable now, but I would tuck it away in the cellar for at least a few years and let that secondary layer of complexity emerge fully. 2021-2045" 3/19

Wine Enthusiast

94 Points, Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast: "Another truly exceptional Chardonnay from Maison Jadot's Oregon project, this explosively aromatic wine offers a seamless mash-up of citrus, tree fruits and lemon verbena. Lighter suggestions of beeswax and a dash of pepper follow in succession through a finish with balance, length and precision." 10/18
