Raiding the Cellar

Experience fine wine pairings the way they should be enjoyed and join Zachys at one of our exclusive Raiding the Cellar events. These intimate, carefully executed dinners pair meticulously curated wines with cuisine from some of the most celebrated chefs in the world. From Grand Cru Burgundy, to First Growth Bordeaux, to up-and-coming celebrity winemakers the world over, we do our utmost to deliver the very best wine the world has on offer. 

What Makes these Events Different?

  • A maximum of 14 attendees! These intimate dinners are capped at 14 per 750ml to ensure that all the guests enjoy proper pours.
  • To the best of our ability, we aim to provide back-up bottles for everything we pour. This is not always possible, especially with the extraordinarily rare bottles that we offer, but it is our goal!
  • All bottles offered are thoroughly vetted and examined by senior auction staff and are acquired through trusted sources.
  • Given the limited seats available at each dinner, tickets are highly sought-after, very exclusive and sell out quickly. For this reason, we do not issue refunds for seats. Seats can be transferred.
  • Split pours are sometimes available upon request. 

 The purpose of these dinners is to be both informative and fun and we do our utmost to achieve that objective. We hope that you leave a Raiding the Cellar event with a clearer idea of what wines you need to add to your own personal cellar!

Shoshana Filene

Shoshana Filene joined the Zachys Auction team in 2012 after six years of experience working in sales for a number of reputable wine retailers and distributors. Originally from Los Angeles, her interest in wine sprouted on visits to the vineyards of Israel and Northern California before reaching maturity in tasting societies in New York. She currently focuses on developing new business streams and property acquisition as well as growing the Zachys auction buying base. With an Advanced Certificate from the WSET and a slew of degrees from Columbia, Tel Aviv, and Baruch University, Shoshana energetically meets the daily challenges of the fine wine world. She is excited to pioneer the new Raiding the Cellar Dinner Series and looks forward to sharing rare bottles with oenophiles from around the globe! 

 Notes about Raiding the Cellar & Raiding the Reserve Cellar Events

  • Payment is due immediately. Your seat is not confirmed until payment is made.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable.
  • Exact wines listed for any event may change slightly. Occasionally, substitutes will be made if wines are not showing as we would expect.
  • Please let your host know about any allergies or dietary restrictions upon registration.
