The blend is 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, matured in 50% new oak. Deep in color, it opens on black cherry, blueberry and cassis with a note of juniper, while the Cabernet adds cedar and a pencil-shaving edge. The palate has firm tannins with plenty of grip and fresh acidity, showing tart red cherry and a wet-stone quality alongside the darker fruit before a clean, lifted finish. It is approachable now yet has the structure to age, and critics place it from the mid-2020s into the early 2040s.
