It's broad and expansive on the palate, almost velvety, but then has a slight chalky bite at the end and some saline, mineral notes. Really intense and delicious. Château Guillot-Clauzel is a Pomerol estate from the winemaker behind Le Pin and Vieux Château Certan, that is currently sold at a fraction of the price. The estate is tiny, 6 acres sitting on a South facing slope just a few hundred yards from Le Pin itself.
