James Suckling

94 Points, James Suckling :"Solid and deep white with lemon, lime and papaya character. Full body. Layered and pretty. Spicy and minerally. Drink now."

Jancis Robinson

17/20, Jancis Robinson: "The Powell & Son Eden Valley Riesling emanates from a single site in the high Flaxman’s Valley, 480 meters above sea level. The five acre vineyard showcases dry grown, rod and spur pruned Riesling vines now over eighty years old. Grapes are hand-picked, whole bunch pressed, cold settled and fermented dry prior to cold stabilization and bottling. This honest approach ensures a clear expression of the great vineyard from which the wine originates. </br>It displays beautiful aromas typical of Eden Valley Riesling: lemon rind, floral perfumes, honeysuckle and crushed stones, with a fresh palate enlivened by a strong acid backbone which draws out into a long steely finish."

Wine Enthusiast

95 Points, Wine Enthusiast: "Editor’s Choice. This complex and heady Riesling from 90-year-old vines is a bargain. Pale gold in hue, the nose is an expressive perfume of beeswax, crushed stone, candied ginger, honey, tea tree oil and lime leaf. For all its richness on the nose, the palate is bone dry yet highly textural in a skinsy bite. Mouthwatering acidity, juicy fruit and a long finish make for an opulent yet poised Riesling that's drinking beautifully right now."
