Pommard Fremiers Nicolas Rossignol 2012 (750ML)

The 2012 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers is 100% whole cluster fruit and the soil here is similar to the Volnay Chevret. It has a more ebullient, vivacious bouquet than the Chaponnieres with exotic touches of kirsch and creme de cassis interlacing the red and black fruit profile. The palate is sensual and rounded on the entry, although those stems lend this Pommard deceptive structure on the “solid� finish. There is a touch of spice at the tip of the tongue lingering long after the wine has departed. Excellent – but give it several years to show what it can do...90-92 WA 12/13
