Piedmont Fest Of 2025
Join us on Saturday February 1st in our Port Chester Store location as we hold court with the Barolo Kings and Barbaresco Queens of Piedmont’s wines. We’ll be lavishly pouring over 25 wines in this walking tour through the royal region. Join Andrew and the store team as we hail the noble flavors and rejoice as they reign long on the palate!
For those steeped in the lore of Piedmont, the winter is the perfect window of time to enjoy their crown gems- the air holds a deep chill, and the barometric pressure hits the ceiling, allowing the deep core of succulent fruit and concentrated tannins to sing their clearest. In this much-anticipated winter event we will cozy up among the royalty of Piedmont and swing open our majestic cellar doors to some of the brightest new releases of Barolos and Barbaresco. This is a tasting that smacks of the high court.
Discover the revere of the terroir as we pop open 20 of the largest names in Italy today: Borgogno * Cantalupo * Cascina delle Rose * Castello di Neive * Castello di Verduno * Damilano * Elvio Cogno * Fontanabianca * Gaja * Giuseppe Mascarello * Giussepe Cortese * La Spinetta * Mirafiore * Mocagatta * Paitin * Prunotto * Roagna * Scavino * Vajra * Vietti
This is an incredible chance to taste these renowned names through 13 pours of 2021 Barbaresco and 12 curated bottles of 2020 Barolo. You’ll quickly see why Vinous described the Barbaresco as “vivid, exceptionally beautiful wines that show the heights Nebbiolo can reach” or why the Barolo Sperss Gaja 2019 swept 99PTs from Jeb Dunnuck & Kerin O’keefe.
In addition to the “royal lordship” of Barolo and Barbaresco we will also be pouring notable back vintages and would be remis without peppering in excellent Barbera d’Alba and Dolcetto d’Alba into the lineup. Perhaps we can designate these as the Pages and Knights of the region for a full court of exceptional flavor.
With this roll call of Piedmont royalty, we anticipate the tickets will not last long. Reserve your place among the terroir’s aristocracy and find your place with fellow Italian enthusiasts. If you’re a holder of the Zachys Event Pass- incredible! - you'll be first on the list of attendees.
Join Andrew and the store team in a truly memorable tour through Piedmont that will cure you of the winter chill and warm your palate with some of the best releases of Italian reds.
