It is a unique Bordeaux-Rhone blend that consists of 90% Palmer fruit blended with 10% Northern Rhône - essentially 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah. Like the 20.10 that was well received among many collectors, the 20.16 is another expression from a classic vintage in both Margaux and the Northern Rhône. It is elegance with depth that seems to capture the soft and welcoming fruit of Margaux combined with the spice and mineral side of the Rhône. We are talking nuances of juicy black fruit, plums, violets, a touch of black licorice, roasted meats, and spice. And with the 2016 release, we believe there is more freshness and aromatics to the wine when compared to the beloved 2010 expression.
