97 points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am blown away by this beautiful wine. A new project from the Cotarella family, the 2013 Ogrà hits it out of the ballpark on its very first year of production. The wine is named after grandma Grazia. In Umbrian and Laziale dialect, baptismal names get shortened to show affection. Monica is Mò and Grazia becomes Ogrà . This wine is made with a blend of select Syrah clones with vines planted in the slightly volcanic soils of Lazio that are better for fruit ripening. The wine is rich and potent, with a sweet and beautifully succulent quality of tannins. Lingering tones of campfire ash and black pepper appear on the close. With 2,100 bottles made, this is a true beauty. (Ogrà was not produced in 2014)." 10/19
