91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Bousselots has a similar fruit profile to the Chaignots, albeit with a little more horsepower and the fruit a tad darker. The palate is very well balanced with impressive concentration and focus. The acidity is well judged, and there is a gorgeous seam of blood orange and spice that runs through the long, quite intense finish. This has a lot of potential, certainly one of the best Bousselots that I have tasted from this address in recent years." 12/17

90-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "Bright red-ruby. Pure, vibrant aromas of black raspberry and boysenberry are lifted by a whiff of violet. More discreet in the mouth than the Chaignots but with its imploded dark fruit flavors accented by high-pitched florality. Finishes pristine, firmly tannic and long, with a restrained sweetness and a sappy juicy quality." 1/18

90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "An airy, cool and admirably pure nose is composed by notes of the essence of red currant, spice and a touch of earth, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. Once again there is terrific punch and detail to the restrained medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the lingering finish that is shaped by a firm tannic spine. This is a relatively refined Nuits but it's a Nuits all the same, which is to say that it's less rustic than most of the wines in the range." 1/18

95 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2016 Vaucrains is surprisingly red fruity this year- particularly given how black fruity several of the other crus here that often show a lot of red fruit have turned out in this vintage. The wine is stellar, offering up a very precise and promising bouquet of cherries, red plums, gamebird, a great base of soil, lavender, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nascently complex, with a sappy core of fruit, stunning backend mineral drive, ripe, fine-grained tannins and a very long, properly reserved finish. This will be a great vintage of Vaucrains." 12/17
