Wine Advocate

93-95 Points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots was matured in 50% new oak. Like the Aux Cras this vintage, it comes across as more extrovert and opulent than its Vosne-based counterparts, with billowing black cherries, Griottes, orange blossom and crushed violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, tangible salinity, especially towards the finish that has a touch of oyster shell coming through. I like the energy here, the frisson that keeps you coming back for more. This is an outstanding Boudots from Maxime Chuerlin." 12/16

91-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Mild reduction once again pushes the underlying fruit to the background but like the Petits Monts, it seems as though it won't last. The taut yet velvety medium-bodied flavors possess a subtle minerality along with ample punch on the more complex and sneakily persistent finish. This is excellent." 01/17

John Gilman

93 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2015 Boudots from Monsieur Cheurlin is more refined and precise on both the nose and palate than the riper Cras. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a lovely blend of red plums, cherries, pomegranate, nutskin, gamebird, cocoa powder, a good base of soil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nicely soil-driven in personality, with a sappy core, ripe tannins and lovely length and grip on the still fairly youthful, but very promising finish. Fine, fine juice in the making. 2023-2060." 01/17
