Wine Advocate
92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Montrachet Grand Cru has a light, slight smoky bouquet with an intriguing and very subtle licorice note that loiters in the background like a naughty kid. The palate is well balanced and shows more cohesion and terroir expression than the Chevalier-Montrachet: quite powerful with an attractive viscous texture, but counterbalanced by a fine thread of acidity and a convincing spicy finish. This is the best white from Jacques Prieur this year by some margin." 12/1691-94 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "(50% new oak): Pale, bright, green-tinged yellow. Lively aromas of fresh pineapple and crushed herbs. Concentrated, savory wine with lemon, lime and yellow peach flavors enlivened by wild herbs and a suggestion of iodiney minerality. Plenty fruity for young Montrachet but also precise and juicy. Finishes sappy, saline and long, with a strong impression of dry extract." 09/16
Vinous Media
90-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: " Pale, bright, green-tinged yellow. Lively yellow fruits, orange zest, spices, rose petal and lichee on the nose; a bit exotic for young Chevalier-Montrachet. Densely packed and spicy, with pineapple and lichee flavors accented by spices. There's plenty of underlying minerality here but the wine's very firm, dry finish makes it hard to assess today." 9/16
Burghound
91-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A beautifully layered nose flashes a broad assortment of aromas that include apple, pear, acacia, lavender, spice and a discreet application of wood. The Chevalier is a big wine but this is bigger still with its imposingly scaled flavors that are both muscular and powerful yet even so there is a better sense of verve and particularly so on the lingering, sappy and well-balanced finale. This is clearly going to require at least some bottle age and amply reward a decade plus." 6/17
