96 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A distinctly smoky nose reflects plenty of matchstick character and not much else at present. Like the Chevalier, the breed and complexity the medium-bodied flavors display is genuinely stunning as is the remarkable length on the beautifully balanced and intensely mineral-driven finale. Not surprisingly, this is a block of stone today and a wine that is clearly destined to develop slowly over the next 15-ish years. I would add that this is a Montrachet of finesse rather than overt power and muscle; it is wonderfully subtle. I doubt that the 2016 version of the Ramonet Montrachet will be one of the all-time greats for this amazingly consistent wine, it will nonetheless be an excellent addition to what is almost unfailingly one of the best examples of the appellation." 06/19
