92 Points, Stephan Tanzer, Vinous: "Restrained nose hints at yellow peach and anise. A bit more expressive in the mouth than the Poruzots, with its stone fruit and mineral flavors conveying excellent lemony cut. This very juicy, youthful wine displays excellent density but no sharp edges and finishes with excellent rising length." 5/14

91-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "In contrast to the aromatic elegance of the Bouchères, by contrast this is quite firmly reduced. As is usually the case, this is much more powerful and concentrated though at the expense of refinement, all wrapped in an energetic and highly complex finish that is notably more structured. 93 Points, William Kelley, Decanter: "Lafon's three barrels of Gouttes d'Or are very promising, revealing a lovely bouquet of lime, pear and spring flowers with some Meursault nuttiness on the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a lovely line of acidity and considerable power in the somewhat four-square style typical of Gouttes d'Or. With some years in the cellar this should be excellent." 10/17
