As is usually the case with this wine it is much more deeply pitched and more obvious Gevrey in character with its pungently earth and animale aromas of various red and dark berries that are trimmed in subtle spice and sandalwood nuances. There is excellent volume and power to the full-bodied and muscular flavors that terminate in a very firm, deep and impressively persistent finish.
