La Cabanne 2019 (750ML)
90 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate: "Exhibiting aromas of sweet berries and plums mingled with hints of spices, the 2019 La Cabanne is medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy core of fruit, succulent acids and powdery tannins. Supple and giving but not particular characterful or complex, it will offer a broad drinking window." 04/22
92-94 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2019 La Cabanne, which is pure Merlot, has a sensual bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry aromas, touches of rose petal and just a little dark chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied with very lithe tannins, focused and nimble, then gaining weight towards the precise, dark chocolate-tinged finish. This is one of the finest La Cabannes that I have encountered out of barrel. This is a great wine from François Estager. Tasted twice with consistent notes." 6/20
92 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2019 La Cabanne is a plush Pomerol loaded with inky dark red fruit, chocolate, mocha, espresso and sweet spice. This has turned out well. Drink it over the next 10-15 years." 02/22
Perfumed nose of blackberries, purple plums, violets, cloves and lemon peel. It’s medium-to full-bodied with fine, supple tannins. Creamy and silky with a juicy finish. 100% merlot. Try from 2024.
91 Points, Jane Anson, Decanter: "A lovely Cabanne from owner François Estager - creamy, deep and plenty of Pomerol signature. Creamy texture with concentrated liquorice root and softer chocolate shavings. Gourmet edged with clear power. It has sweet blue and blackberry fruit expression but balanced out with fresh acidities. Thomas Duclos consultant." 5/20
91-93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck: "The Merlot-dominated 2019 Château La Cabanne boasts a big, sexy nose of ripe red and black currants, toasty oak, spice box, and incense. With full-bodied richness, a big, fleshy texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it's another beautiful Pomerol in the making." 6/20
