Wine Advocate

91-93 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 La Cabanne (composed of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc) opens with some cedar/oaky overtones, giving way to a fragrant core of warm black cherries, fresh black plums and blueberry preserves with sparks of spearmint, powdered cinnamon, dried roses and redcurrant jelly. Full-bodied with taut, muscular black and blue fruits, it has a firm line of rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy." 4/19

Neil Martin

92 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2018 La Cabanne takes a few minutes to find its footing. It then reveals attractive blackberry, briary and light black truffle scents; with further aeration, more red fruit manifests. The palate is well balanced, lithe and pliant with supple tannins and well-integrated oak. Lovely orange pith notes develop toward the harmonious finish, which feels long and tender. This La Cabanne has turned out nicely and should drink well for 15–20 years." 03/21

James Suckling

92 Points, James Suckling, "Polished aromas of blueberry, ripe blackberry, chocolate, vanilla and sweet tobacco. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins. Delicate finish." 01/21
