Dark, sumptuous and wonderfully expressive, the 2012 graces the palate with exceptional finesse. Mocha, espresso, plum, black cherries, smoke and menthol blossom on the rich, expansive finish. There is plenty of Bolgheri immediacy, but the growing season, which was about 20 days longer than normal, helped give the wine an extra dimension of balance. I continue to be impressed with the work the Antinori family has done at Guado al Tasso, where the flagship wine has improved considerably over the last few years." 10/15
