Grace Family Vineyards was planted with cuttings from the famed Bosché vineyard and first harvested in 1978. Those first grapes were handpicked by family and friends and taken to Caymus Winery in the back of a station wagon. This Napa Valley vineyard sure has come a long way over the last 35 years, but their wines still have that personal, family touch.

Deep purple-colored, with well-integrated, spicy, toasty oak competing with gobs of sweet blackcurrant fruit and spice, this full-bodied, well-endowed, concentrated Cabernet is powerful yet well-balanced. It needs another 2-3 years of cellaring to resolve some tannin, but it will easily last 15-20 years. These limited production gems certainly merit the hyperbole and accolades they receive." 12/96
