A touch of musky reduction to the aromas of black raspberry, mocha and game, with rose petal and peony notes providing lift. Wonderfully silky and sweet; faintly gamey but still racy and delicate. Not an obviously structured wine but boasts subtle sweetness and finishes with sneaky, slowly mounting length." 01/18

90-93 Points, Burghound: " Here the nose is earthier and not as elegant with a somber if complex array of overtly floral and dark berry liqueur-like aromas. There is excellent richness to the sleekly muscular and powerful medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate thanks to the abundant dry extract that imparts a velvety texture to the driving and long if slightly warm finish. This is really quite good but it can't match the brilliance of the Les Cailles." 04/18
