90-92 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques has a fragrant, floral bouquet with pressed white flowers complementing the red berry fruit, a touch of graphite emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, darker fruit than the nose implies but with pleasing roundness and fleshiness toward the finish. Probably one of Jadot's more approachable Gevrey premier crus." 12/17

90-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "Bright, full red. Less floral and high-pitched on the nose than the Lavaux Saint-Jacques, and not currently showing that wine's crushed-stone minerality. In a more medicinal, muscular style, conveying a strong impression of punch but not the delicacy or detail of the Lavaux. Rich and filled in but more about savory minerality and soil tones than flowers and spices. It's possible that this sample was drawn from a less-fresh barrel; I look forward to following up on this wine from bottle next year." 1/18
