91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a generous bouquet with red cherries, strawberry and light rose petal scents, maybe not quite as well defined as the Petits Monts. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, good structure with a solid, slightly sinewy finish. Fine, but robust and a little outclassed by some of the Chuerlin's other cuvées this year. Maybe it has something up its sleeve?" 11/21

92-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A ripe but fresh combination freely offers up its aromas of spice, especially anise and exotic tea, black raspberry and whiffs of hoisin and soy. The plum, round and delicious middle weight plus flavors possess a suave mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the firm, serious and moderately austere finish that displays sneaky good length. This should also repay 12 to 15 years of cellaring yet be approachable after 5 to 7 years." 01/22

95-98 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Despite the darkness of the colour, the fruit on the nose has a brilliant lightness of touch along with the natural intensity of the vintage. So lifted, very floral, extremely detailed. What a volume of fruit there is, red and black, brilliantly detailed, slightly sterner tannins than in some, unwinds to a really long and complex aftertaste." 11/21
