Gentle herbal nuances lap at the edges of a pool of blueberry and cherry fruit, framed by mocha and cedar. There's only 20% new oak (Taransaud) in this bottling, but it's noticeable. Medium to full-bodied and firmly tannic, with a dusty finish, this needs a few years to soften." 05/22

Then again, that wine gained a ton of weight, so who knows if the 2019 will ultimately follow in a similar direction. Red-fleshed fruit, cedar, tobacco and dried autumn leaves add nuance throughout. Today, the 2019 seems to have an extra kick of freshness that is hugely appealing." 09/21
