Corton Les Perrieres Meo-Camuzet 2020 (750ML)
93-95+ Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the highlights of the range this year is the 2020 Corton Grand Cru Les Perrières, a vibrant, mineral wine evocative of wild berries, forest floor, rich spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins and a long, penetrating finish, it's well worth seeking out." 01/22
91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru has a refined nose that gently unfurls in the glass with dark cherries and bilberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe and quite bold tannins, fine acidity, quite dense and a little sinewy yet maintaining fine definition. Give this 4-5 years in bottle." 11/21
91-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Méo commented that he believes that the 2020 version is the best that they have made. Exuberantly fresh yet decidedly ripe aromas include those of red and dark currant that are laced with floral, spice and oak hints. The firm, muscular and mineral-driven big-bodied flavors possess evident power and excellent length on the chewy, structured and lingering finish that flirts with rusticity." 01/22
93 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2020 Corton “Perrière” from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a bit broader shouldered than the lovely Clos Vougeot, delivering a bouquet of dark berries, black cherries, grilled game, dark soil tones, bonfire and cedary new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, tangy and fullbodied, with a rock solid core of fruit, good mineral drive and grip, chewy, firm tannins and a long, tangy and potentially complex finish. This is a very young wine and will need some extended hibernation time in the cellar before it starts to drink with generosity. 2037-2100." 11/21
93-96 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Rich dark purple, with an evidently ripe nose at 14.3%. The cherries may eb on the richer side but they are not cooked. The wine is staying in very good shape because this vineyard always delivers a mineral crunch at the back. A lovely wine which holds its own here very well. I think the best he has made." 12/21
