Corton Charlemagne Domaine des Heritiers Louis Jadot 2019 (750ML)
93-95+ Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aromas of confit citrus, crisp orchard fruit and mint mingle with hints of petrol and toasted bread in an incipiently complex bouquet, introducing the 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a full-bodied, multidimensional and muscular wine built around serious reserves of structuring dry extract and girdled by lively acids. Long and chalky, this is very promising." 01/21
91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a very tempting bouquet of lemon curd, frangipane, almond and light white chocolate scents. It is still a little oaky, but that will integrate with time. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, marmalade-tinged opening, then veers toward a curiously "fishy" second half, almost like a Chenin Blanc in style! Maybe this is just a phase it’s going through. Give it 3–5 years in bottle. (Drink between 2022-2038)" 12/20
92-94 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A ripe and mildly exotic combination offers notes of smoky white peach, spice, green apple and a hint of matchstick character. There is impressive richness to the sleek, intense and fullbodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the bitter lemon infused finish. This is a moderately structured 2019 that should repay a decade plus of keeping."
94 Points, Charles Curtis, Decanter: "From a domaine-owned plot facing due south in Les Pougets, purchased by the Jadot family in the 19th century. Somewhat closed initially, but opening with a bit of time to show a ripe pear fruit character, with hints of beeswax and fresh hay. On the palate, the wine is rich and substantial, with balanced acidity that reflects the southern exposition. With time this should open well, for there is a lot of potential here." 10/20
