Extraordinarily rich and complex, it offers hints of grilled red plums, roasted meat and mocha, enormous concentration and masses of ripe tannins. Yet despite the power, there's a sense of elegance to this, and the dark fruit flavors come through on the lengthy finish. It's a terrific effort and relatively affordable if you can find it. The price at the caveau when I visited was 80 euros." 12/17
