95-97 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2017 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru, which contains "a few stems," according to winemaker Frédéric Barnier, has a gorgeous bouquet of raspberry, cranberry and touches of crushed stone and orange pith - one of the finest aromatics from Jadot this year. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, demonstrating more weight and fruit intensity than its sibling Clos de la Roche. There is grip, focus and a sense of purpose whereas the Clos de la Roche seems to drink more easily. Superb." 01/19

94 Points, Tim Atkin, Decanter: "One of the best of Jadot's mouthwatering array of grands crus, this is part of the Gagey estate. The oak is still a little marked at present, but will integrate over the next few years, given the texture and tannic backbone of this wine. It shows the freshness that's typical of Clos St-Denis and has considerable potential." 10/18
