91 Points, Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva is a round, intense and plummy expression with a pretty bouquet of intense berry fruit. The wine is beautifully contoured and rich, with background notes of spice and sweet tobacco that do the trick. It's a solid choice for a hearty meatloaf. This Riserva ages in both cement and tonneaux for 18 months. Production is 35,000 bottles strong, and you get good value here." 9/19.

92 Points, Michaela Morris, Decanter: "Bibbiano's vineyards sit on two slopes, one southwest-facing with a greater concentration of alberese soil and the other northeast-facing with small pebbles. The Riserva is made from a selection of both and aged in a combination of concrete and French tonneaux. Youthful and giving, this offers up aromas of celery, anise, pepper and oregano, giving nuance to the ripe red berries. Ample fruit on the palate fits nicely with firm tannins, while assertive acid gives lift and energy." 2/19.
