Wine Advocate
90 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Because of coulure in the Grenache, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Telegramme has higher-than-usual percentages of Mourvèdre and Syrah in the blend. It's darker fruited, with cola and plum notes, a rich, velvety and slightly coarse feel on the palate and decent length. It should still be consumed over the near term (6-7 years)." 08/19
Vinous Media
92 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous: "Limpid ruby. Expressive red fruit liqueur, floral and spice scents show impressive vivacity and focus. Sappy, alluringly sweet and fleshy on the palate, offering appealingly sweet raspberry and lavender pastille flavors and a hint of spicecake. Closes long and smooth, displaying even tannins and strong, floral-tinged persistence." 10/21
James Suckling
93 Points, James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com: "Ripe and brambly raspberry, blueberry and cassis aromas with a strong thread of wild herbs. The shape is refined and taut through the palate. Some airy, fleshy lightness here with plush, fine and dense tannins. Finishes fresh with red fruit. Great grenache in 2017. Drink or hold." 10/19
Wine Spectator
92 Points, James Molesworth, Wine Spectator: "Fresh and pure, with a pretty beam of raspberry and cassis notes, flecked with savory, lavender and rooibos tea accents. A mineral edge adds length and tension on the finish. Best from 2021 through 2032. 1,970 cases imported." 05/30
Wine Enthusiast
95 Points, Anna Lee C. Lijima, Wine Enthusiast: "Flavors of blackberry preserves and fig paste are rich, almost unctuous, in this richly concentrated blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (10%), Mourvédre (6%) and Cinsault (4%). It's a voluptuous but freshly concentrated wine accented by hints of rose petal, anise and smoky tea leaves. Approachable in youth but should drink at peak through 2030." 03/21
Decanter
90 Points, Matt Walls, Decanter: "Very open, with transparent red fruits: strawberry, raspberry, violet and sage. Medium to full-bodied, not complex, but certainly Châteauneuf. Sunny but well balanced with a big burst of Châteauneuf fruit for young drinking. This cuvée is made up of young vines from lieux-dits Pied Long and La Crau, and grapes issuing from all other parcels." 06/20

92 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com: "Bottled only a month ago, the 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Télégramme offers a more forward style yet has classic red and black fruits, iodine, ground pepper, and garrigue-like aromas and flavors. Fleshy, medium to full-bodied, and nicely textured, with plenty of minerality, it's a terrific introduction into the wines of this estate as well as an outstanding wine." 8/19
