Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvee Prestige Janasse 2017 (750ML)
93 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Roughly 60% Roussanne, with the balance a blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvee Prestige offers up subtle hints of honey and toast on the nose, then fills out the medium to full-bodied palate with notes of pineapple and tangerine. It's crisper and more focused than the ripe, round 2018, but is it better? It depends on your individual preferences."
94 Points, Jim Molesworth, Wine Spectator: "Flattering, with creamed Cavaillon melon, yellow apple and Anjou pear notes gliding through, kissed with sweetened butter on the lush finish. For the hedonist crowd. Drink now through 2021. 54 cases imported." 11/19
95+ Points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com: "Including more Clairette and slightly less Grenache than normal, the 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Prestige Blanc was bottled in October of last year and was brought up all in demi-muid. It has a straight, focused style that carries ample richness and concentration as well as notes of caramelized peach, crushed citrus, brioche, white flowers, and spice. It's another rich, powerful wine from this team that stays fresh, balanced, and pure. It needs a year of bottle age, but it's a brilliant white!" 8/19
