Wine Advocate Notes
91 Points, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers offers a cheeky hint of aniseed on the nose that gains intensity in the glass – generous and lively. The palate is fresh and lively on the entry with orange zest, pineapple and a touch of spice. This is quite a complex Chassagne-Montrachet with much better tension on the finish than the Maltroie." 2/14
Vinous Media
90-92 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "Subtle, pure aromas and flavors of lemon, lime, flowers, pepper and spices. Taut and tightly wound, with firm underlying minerality giving this a Puligny-like precision. The penetrating finish shows serious intensity and good saline minerality. This promising premier cru is likely to need three or four years of cellaring upon its release." 10/13
Burghound Notes
89-91 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "This had just been racked so the sulfur addition dominated the nose. There is excellent density to the broad-shouldered yet attractively detailed and vibrant flavors that culminate in a saline-inflected finish that is clean and dry while offering moderate depth and length. This is a big but balanced effort that should repay 5 to 7 years of cellaring." 06/14
