Wine Advocate

92-94 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle (Duc de Magenta) is another success, mingling notes of white flowers and pear with hints of orange oil, buttered toast and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and complete, with fine concentration and bright balancing acids." 01/21

Neil Martin

90-92 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 1er Cru White) The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle 1er Cru is well-defined on the nose, offering scents of honeysuckle and yellow plum, then lemon thyme and light crushed stone aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Not quite as harmonious as the Abbaye de Morgeot on the finish; this is slightly more attenuated and bitter at the moment. But it has good potential for a Chassagne made in a classic style. (Drink between 2022-2032)" 12/20

Burghound

90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A beautifully layered nose exhibits good floral and citrus rind nuances on the ripe poached pear, white peach and apple scents. The medium-bodied flavors are not quite as dense, but they are a bit finer while offering good richness and verve on the lemony, youthfully austere and lingering finish. While there is a touch of rusticity, it’s less pronounced."
