92-94 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie is promising, offering up aromas of pear, crisp green apple, lime zest, freshly baked bread and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, it's fleshy but precise, with lively acids and a long, saline finish" 01/22

91-93 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroye 1er Cru offers touches of white flower and dried honey on the nose, gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, quite linear and maybe even conservative towards the finish. Yet it does gain intensity with aeration, so afford this two or three years in bottle." 11/21

90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "This appealing effort possesses the ripest nose to this point with its blend of apricot, white peach, passion fruit and discreet resin hints. There is both fine verve and cut to the medium weight flavors that possess a strikingly seductive texture before terminating in a lingering and well-balanced finale. Note that like the Clos St. Jean, this will need to develop more depth over time to merit the upper end of my predicted range." 06/22

93+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The Maltroie bottling chez Moreau is always a bit more reserved than either the Vergers or Chenevottes and the 2020 version is no exception, but this too is going to be a beautiful wine once it blossoms. The nose is precise and vibrant, delivering a blend of apple, pear, wet stone minerality, incipient notes of beeswax, dried flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and nicely reserved in personality, with a rock solid core, fine mineral drive, lovely focus and grip and a long, complex and beautifully balanced finish. Just add a modicum of bottle age and voila, a great bottle of Chassagne! 2026-2060." #96 11/21

91-93 Points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy: "Fine pale colour. This starts discreetly but clearly shows a fruit concentration to follow. Delicious fruit again with a marine lick to finish, medium weight and length. Maltroie tends to be less exuberant than most Chassagne 1ers Crus though this is a very well made wine." 12/21
