Medium to full-bodied, velvety and perfumed, it's ample and generous, concluding with a youthfully chewy finish." 01/22

94-96 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very seductive, quintessential nose with plush blueberry and black cherry fruit, well defined, sumptuous in style. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine acidity, dense and grippy with an almost Mazis-like structure on the finish. Excellent, but it will require time in bottle." 12/21

The succulent, suave and seductively textured medium weight flavors possess a caressing mid-palate while offering very good depth and persistence on the youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently forward that 10 to 12 years should be enough to largely resolve the supporting tannins." 04/22
