Charmes Chambertin Lignier-Michelot 2009 (1.5L)
91-94 Points, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin is another huge wine. It reveals striking purity in its deep core of fruit. There is plenty of density in the glass, if not quite as much elegance as the best wines here. Then again, Charmes is one of the vineyards that suffered the most in 2009. Lignier buys the fruit for this wine. The Charmes was made with 100% whole bunches." 5/11
92-95 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Quite deeply colored, which is unusual for a wine vinified with a high percentage of stems. Relatively prominent wood fights a bit with the very ripe floral and liqueur of cassis and red raspberry-infused nose. The big-bodied flavors are seductive, concentrated and positively brimming with dry extract that buffers the very firm and dry (in the best sense) flavors that culminate in a palate staining and hugely long and linear finish." 1/11.
