Wine Advocate
94 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru was showing a pleasant reduction on the nose. The are plenty of clean and crisp redcurrant and cranberry fruit, hints of lavender and cassis. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, very fine tannin, good backbone with a wondrous, complex, spice-tinged finish that has impressive persistence, more than a minute perhaps. This is a superb Chapelle-Chamberlin from Jadot. Tasted September 2016." 12/16
Vinous Media
93+ Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "Bright medium red. Pungent limestone lift to the aromas of raspberry and spices. Densely packed and energetic, with powerful, primary red berry flavors complemented by strong salty mineral extract. This chewy, highly concentrated wine conveys an impression of full ripeness with restraint. Finishes ripely tannic and very long, with a tactile solidity. This wine may well eventually merit an even higher rating." 3/16
Other
94 Points, John Gilman, Inside Burgundy: "The 2013 Chapelle-Chambertin from Louis Jadot has really turned out splendidly and this may well be the finest wine that I tasted in the cellars this year. The beautiful bouquet is a vibrant mélange of red and black cherries, grilled meats, cocoa, a complex base of dark soil tones, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows of marvelous mid-palate depth, with a sense of sappiness to come that is very rare this year in the Jadot cellars. The finish is long and suavely tannic, with great soil signature, beautifully-integrated tannins and excellent focus and grip. A superb result in 2013! (Drink between 2023-2060)" 12/14
