Chambolle Musigny Les Noirots Ghislaine Barthod 2018 (750ML)
(91-93) Points, William Kelly, Wine Advocate: "The second rendition of this cuvée to date is the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Noirots, a wine that comes from a small parcel of vines that are more than 60 years old, formerly blended into the domaine's Chambolle-Musigny Village. Revealing aromas of cherries, cassis and raspberries framed by rich soil tones and hints of burning embers, it's a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned wine that's lively and precise, with—as was the case last year—a more mineral profile than the Beaux Bruns that preceded it." 02/20
90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound:"Once again firm reduction flattens the underlying fruit at present. Otherwise there is impressive volume and power to the broad-shouldered flavors that possess a velvety mid-palate that contrasts considerably with the robust and borderline rustic finale that is supported by very firm tannins. This offers fine development potential but it's not likely to make for especially interesting early drinking." 01/20 Issue #77
