Wine Advocate

93-95 Points, William Kelley, Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes was showing especially well, revealing aromas of cherries, cassis, grilled squab and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional palate that's muscular and concentrated, carrying an abundance of ripe tannin and underpinned by lively acids. This is one of the broader-shouldered wines in the cellar, and one senses its proximity to Bonnes Mares. Of course, that also means that it will require patience." 02/20

89-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A highly spiced and floral-suffused nose of mostly cassis and black cherry leads to rich, concentrated and full-bodied flavors that evidence a taut muscularity before concluding in a raspy, firm and compact finish that is also borderline rustic. This is clearly built-to-age and a wine that is going to require extended patience." 01/20 Issue #77
