Boasts lovely saline minerality and spicy depth to its sappy core of raspberry and black cherry fruit. Conveys a strong impression of density and energy and finishes with terrific dusty, tactile length. The yield here was about 32 hectoliters per hectare. The bouquet is deep, pure and gorgeous, wafting from the glass in a complex blend of red plums, cherries, raw cocoa, a complex base of chalky soil, mustard seed, roses and spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and nascently complexity, with a velvety attack, a fine sappy core, lovely backend mineral drive, fine grained tannins and a very long, tangy and laser-like finish.
