95-97 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous: "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru had already been blended when I visited the domaine in November. It has a glorious bouquet that is quintessential Amoureuses: mainly red fruit tinged with blueberry, and then incense and crushed violets. Not as powerful as some vintages, but it oozes refinement. The palate shows exquisite balance, filigreed tannin and a texture so silky it belongs in a lingerie department. There is just the right amount of salinity toward the finish, which feels like a ballerina en pointe. A masterclass in how to articulate Les Amoureuses, courtesy of Christophe Roumier. Magnificent." 01/19
94-97 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "A wonderfully spicy, cool and airy nose is markedly floral in character while offering notes of various red berries, tea, sandalwood and a whiff of incense. The silky and ultra-refined middle weight flavors possess excellent underlying tension along with seemingly endless reserves of minerality that really emerges on the focused, detailed and gorgeously persistent finale. This is class in a glass but it is also the epitome of power without weight. While not quite as structured as the Bonnes Mares, this too should age effortlessly." 01/19
97 Points, Tim Atkin, Decanter: "Back to normal yields in 2017, after a 50%, frost-related drop in 2016. This is a hauntingly aromatic expression of Les Amoureuses, sourced from a 0.39ha parcel. Pale and enticing, it has lovely notes of musk, summer pudding and red cherry tartness, complemented by 50% whole-bunch spice and one-third new wood." 11/18
