Chambertin Clos de Beze Perrot-Minot 2013 (750ML)

Out of Stock — Zachys NY

Wine Advocate Notes
93-95 Points, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru, which like the Clos de Bèze is matured in 30% new oak, has a tighty-wound bouquet with broody red berry fruit, oyster shell and granitic scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip. This seems more linear than the Clos-de-Bèze at the moment, but there is very good depth and a precise saline finish that will obviously need time and patience. I hope that it gains just a little more flesh by the time of bottling as this is a very fine Chambertin in the making." 12/14
Antonio Galloni
94-97 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "A big, rich wine, the 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru emphasizes extract and density, followed by gorgeous aromatics that give the wine its sense of dimension. Dried rose petals, white pepper and blood orange add elements of intrigue in an intense, resonant Chambertin that is likely to require quite a bit of cellaring. Power and finesse collide in a Chambertin of true pedigree." 11/14
Burghound Notes
93-96 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "An exuberantly spicy nose is comprised primarily of assorted red berries, floral nuances and wisps of earth, the sauvage and sandalwood. There is a cool and restrained mouth feel to the mineral-tinged and attractively pure medium-bodied flavors that are a beguiling combination of power and refinement on the balanced and strikingly persistent finish. The Chapelle is a lovely effort but there is quite simply another dimension of complexity present here. Note that while this is very firmly structured there is so much dry extract present that this should be approachable after only 6 to 8 years if desired though it should amply reward 15 to 20." 1/15
