90 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chablis 1Er Cru Vaillons has a perfumed bouquet, a little disjointed at the moment, but the components are there. The palate is simple, straightforward, nicely balance, but not quite as complex as the Montmains and just missing that extra "spark" on the finish. Let's see how this turns out in the bottle, because at the moment it is a lap behind its sibling Premier Crus." 08/16
90-92 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous: "Pale color. Enticing pineapple and grapefruit aromas and flavors show little in the way of exotic character. Unusually open for this wine at this early stage but fresh and consistent from start to finish, with dominant flavors of pineapple, lemon oil and crushed rock. Distinctly silky in texture in the style of the better 2015s, but finishes with firm citrussy lift. This will give more early pleasure than the Monts Mains." 07/16
90-92 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "Outstanding. There are lovely spice nuances present on the cool but ripe nose that combines notes of mineral reduction and tidal pool with those of various white orchard fruit scents. The refined middle weight flavors are also cool and energetic with very fine depth and length on the balanced finish. Lovely." 10/16
92 Points, John Gilman, A View from the Cellar: "The 2015 Vaillons is fairly ripe in personality, but couples this with impressive length and grip on the backend. The bouquet is pure, refined and succulent, wafting from the glass in a blend of lemon, apple, chalky minerality, beeswax, white lilies and incipient notes of candied lemon peel in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and very nicely balanced, with a fine core and excellent energy and grip on the long and vibrant finish. Fine juice. 2016-2035. " 1/17
