Zachys

91+ Points, Zachys Buying Team: "As you know we love rock juice at Zachys. Where else can you find quality Premier Cru at under $49, or a rare pinnacle Grand Cru expression under $99? Or how about this truly Terroir-driven gem under $25?! This particular bottling derives from a plot of vines that are on the same north-facing slope as the prestigious Premier Cru, La Forest for an excellent introduction to the region and the 2018 vintage. Expect to find an abundance of green apple, lime, white flowers, brown spice, and flint. There is weight and purity of fruit to accompany the signature zip here and it is another example that there is so much more to explore in the region than Dauvissat, Raveneau, Drion, and Fevre - and it begins with the rising star Patrick Piuze."

Wine Advocate

91 Points, William Kelley, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Derived from two north-facing parcels near Montmains-to be more specific, a mere 50 meters from lieu-dit Forêst-the 2018 Chablis Terroir de Chablis is one of the high points of the range, wafting from the glass with notes of lemon oil, oyster shells, smoke and green apples. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with excellent concentration and a stony, mineral finish. Readers may find it helpful to think of this as a miniature Séchet this year."

Antonio Galloni

92 Points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous: "The 2018 Chablis Terroir de Chablis shows the more exotic, tropical side of the year - qualities that are further amplified by clay-rich soils in this parcel that give the wine its breadth. Creamy and generous, the 2018 will drink well upon release. Dried orchard fruit and flinty notes add character. This distinctive wine really stands out among the village bottlings in the range." 07/19
