This particular bottling derives from a plot of vines that are on the same north-facing slope as the prestigious Premier Cru, La Forest for an excellent introduction to the region and the 2018 vintage. Expect to find an abundance of green apple, lime, white flowers, brown spice, and flint. There is weight and purity of fruit to accompany the signature zip here and it is another example that there is so much more to explore in the region than Dauvissat, Raveneau, Drion, and Fevre - and it begins with the rising star Patrick Piuze."

On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with excellent concentration and a stony, mineral finish. Readers may find it helpful to think of this as a miniature Séchet this year."

93+ Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: “The 2018 Terroir de Chablis bottling does not share that touch of exotica on the nose as found in the la Chapelle, but it is equally precise, deep and nicely mineral-driven. The nose wafts from the glass in a very attractive mix of apple, pear, a fine base of chalk, orange zest and gentle floral tones. On the palate the wine is crisp, full, complex and vibrant, with good mid-palate depth, lovely focus and grip and very good length on the zesty backend.” 11/19, Issue #84
