94 Points, John Gilman, View From the Cellar: "The 2018 Montée de Tonnerre chez Piuze is also outstanding, and this wine is surprisingly accessible at this point in the proceedings, which is hardly customary for this cru when still fairly youthful. Perhaps it will close down again with further bottle age, but right now it is seriously in danger of infanticide, as it offers up a beautiful bouquet of pear, lemon, beeswax, a gorgeous base of chalky minerality and a topnote of white lilies. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully complex, with a fine core, lovely soil signature and grip and a focused, vibrant and very, very classy finish.
