On the palate, it's full-bodied, broad and ample, with a layered core, impressive purity and precision despite its unmistakable volume, and an intensely saline finish." 08/19

90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound: "This too reveals ample notes of mineral reduction that add breadth to the pretty white orchard fruit and iodine hints. There is fine richness to the generous and round flavors that are rich to the point of opulence that contrasts somewhat, at least at present, with the bone dry, linear and slightly strict finish. This does need to add depth and better harmonize but it does appear to have the requisite raw materials to do so." 10/19, Issue #76

94+ Points, John Gilman, View From the Cellar: "Patrick's 2018 Blanchots has turned out brilliantly on both the nose and palate. The wine offers up an aromatic constellation of pear, apple, a very complex base of chalky soil tones, candied lemon peel, white flowers and a topnote of beeswax. On the palate the wine is pure, fullbodied and shows off excellent mid-palate depth, with a proper sense of early reserve, fine focus and grip and a long, vibrant and zesty finish. This is still fairly youthful, but it should start to drink with only four or five years in the cellar and be quite dazzling once it gets up to cruising altitude. 2024-2065+." 12/19
